Why C-Boot
If you suffer from venous insufficiency, venous ulcers or other kind of venous disease as well as Lymphedema, you know that most of the problems aggravate mainly when you are standing and walking.
It is difficult for the body to overcome the high hydrostatic pressure in the lower limbs when venous or lymphatic diseases are present. As a result, wounds are created, re-open and relapses, edema is formed and DVT is always a risk. Compression Therapy is then needed in order to help the body circulate blood and lymphatic fluid towards the heart.
So WHY C-Boot?
Because C-Boot's dynamic compression mimics the physiological mechanism:
- It work as a second Muscle Pump to compress the veins and circulate blood
- Its gradient pressure mimics the natural work of the venous valves
- Its intermittent compression works with the natural venous propagating contractions
Only C-Boot can deliver this kind of treatment while the patient is standing or walking as well as sitting or lying down
The clinical benefits of C-Boot?
- C-Boot dynamic compression helps reverses and controls oedema while walking
- C-Boot provides intermittent compression – NO Tourniquet Effect on the skin
- C-Boot enhances limb venous blood flow towards the heart when the patient is walking
- Blood flow in the micro vessels is crucial in order to heal wounds. Bandages and stockings might chock the skin. C-Boot sequential compression reduces tissue pressure and enhances Skin Perfusion, thus helps heal wounds faster
